A Note from Sarah George
I have always been dubbed 'The Creative One.' I have an unexplained natural ability
when it comes to color and design. I am a problem solver, and I love the puzzles we
call our living spaces.
I look at any room and I consider it a giant puzzle. Where does the furniture need
to be placed? What colors need to be in the room to create the right mood? It all
is...fun to me!
Work & Educational Experience
I have real world experience as well as classroom experience.
I worked for a tile showroom for a year in the Sacramento Area. I learned a great
deal about porcelain, ceramic, and natural stone, and I enjoy using them in unique
applications. The showroom also offered high end vanities and plumbing fixtures.
My most recent work experience is as a kitchen designer for a large box retailer.
I worked there for five + years, and I enjoy working with clients. I feel that kitchens & baths
are the hardest "puzzle" in the house. Kitchens & baths are generally small rooms, and their
users have a rather long laundry list of wants, needs, and requirements, and
I love the challenge of making it happen for them.
I am currently studying for the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) Kitchen and Bath
Certification exam.
I have had several clients who have felt
helpless when it comes to which ever room it is, because they are all out of ideas. I
love to come in with my ideas and help my clients enjoy their room, and be confident
about their home.
